Have I already told you that I have a little girl who likes to play soccer? (Can you hear me sigh?) Here's the story: Didi & I had an argument: I've told her more than once that it's a shame to wear those sneakers (even on the field) and that they even would be an offence to the bin. Here's what she answered: 'If I throw them away now, I really have to use my new ones and if I do so you'll be upset too so why not keep on using these? They're doing just fine to me! (Now comes the stunning part): Btw I'm in my early teens now and I'm old enough to make my own decision on what to wear' ??! Did I just hear late Pope John Paul the 2nd in my livingroom, drinking a doppio espresso with a dash of dark rum??! Okay, tell me that -as a mother- I am totally right, TELL ME 'cause she'll be reading this (and otherwise I won't talk to you guys anymore! :)
